A specialization of ViralInfection. Instances of Marburg are characterized by sudden onset of fever, malaise, headache and rash, progressing to vomiting, diarhhea, and hemorrhage. Recognised in 1967, when an outbreak affected workers who were experimenting on imported African green monkeys in Marburg and Frankfurt in Germany, and Belgrade in Yugoslavia.
